First ski trip...

Jeff and I have been so busy with work lately. My amazing husband has been working 10-12 hour days 6 days a week to help build our bank account before we move. It's a good thing he loves his job and we are so fortunate that his business has been so so busy... definately going to be hard to leave it behind, it's done so well for us. Well last weekend, my bro in law was taking his wife to Park City for their Valentines getaway and they invited us last minute... So after convincing Jeff we needed a getaway and I got work off we took off for a very very fun weekend. It was sooo hard to come back. Jeff and I went to Park City for our honeymoon so it was nice to go back and enjoy the very cold snowy whether, and the wonderful 5 star (very expensive) restaurant that we enjoyed just 5 months prior. It was a perfect weekend and a perfect way to spend our 5 month anniversary.
We got up there friday night and just hung out with Josh and Sheridan driving around town, walking main street and getting dessert. Then on Saturday we woke up and hit the slopes. It was my first time every being skiing and I loved it soooo much. Jeff is an amazing skier and bless his heart really wanted to go snowboarding with Josh and Sher but decided to ski with me and help me out. I really didn't do too bad, just had a HECK of a time stopping :) Plus it was packed with hundreds of 3-5 year old kids taking ski lessons... wow they were amazing. I was quite embarrassed to be on the slopes with them. I didn't fall too much, maybe like3 times out of 12 or so runs and I wasn't even sore the next day :) Josh and Sher ripped the slopes apart snowboarding. Sher hasn't been in 8 years and after having 4 kids she blew me away... she was one hot momma!!!

After we skiied all day we went swimming and hot tubing then hit up the amazing PRIME restaurant. Jeff and I ate here on our honeymoon and forgot that when we were there, they had a 2 for 1 entree special and then we got dessert for free since we were Newlyweds... well this time none of those perks were being offered. I tried my first Calamarie appetizer (loved loved loved it) and we enjoyed and perfect 12/10 meal... the ticket sure was not fun to swallow but very very worth the food and the company. Then on sunday we shopped all day. Jeff and I enjoyed skiing so much that we both bought brand new ski gear. Columbia was having killer deals... we both got $250 coats and ski pants, beanies, and gloves all for $230... we couldn't pass up the deal, especially since we could justify it with moving to Alaska and needing warm clothes.

After shopping we headed north to Tremonton to spent the day and evening with Jeff's fam and on monday we headed to my parents house for family home evening and stayed the night there. I love that Jeff sacrifices so much of his time to stay an extra day to visit my fam. He is just soooo easy to love.

Much needed update!!!

So my computer has been down for quite some time... and its been frustrating because I've wanted to post so much. I found a website that makes your blog into a book and I made one for last year and Jeff loved it, so with so much ahead of us this year I want to post as much as I can so I can do another book of all our memories.

So we continue to love our dogs sooooo much. KO is such a momma's boy, he follows me everywhere and loves to cuddle, and Chewy is just so "whatever" that he could careless who holds him. I took them running with me for the first time and what a joke that was. Chewy kept up and was loving it, but apparently KO got tired because at one point when I looked back he was on his side and I was dragging him. I couldn't stop laughing. So I ended up finishing my run with KO in my arms... he is the lazy one of the two!!
We gave them their first hair cut, it was desperately needed. Their adult hair was growing in over their baby fuz and they looked so homeless. But I don't know what was worse, their homeless look or their new cut!! Luckily that was a few weeks ago and so its grown back out. They love going for car rides and have started sleeping with us. They are such cuddly puppies still. Jeff and I talk about how much we love them and we will never get just one dog, we will always have two cuz they are so much less maintenance and they can play for hours together.
Our boys before their cuts... oh and they are fasinated with watching the TV and the computer. Here is KO with me and Chewy with Jeff.

After their cuts... poor dogs were pretty ugly but they loved their short hair and now it has grown back in nice and even

The dogs and our drive home from Pleasant Grove...

Jeff is back finishing school before we move to Alaska for his new program. He loves being in school. I'm so proud of him and how well he has done. I can't wait for him to start his Air Traffic Control program cuz I love seeing him studying... I'm just glad its him and not me hitting the books :)

So for the last couple weeks we have both been working like crazy saving as much as we can so when we move we won't be so tight for money before I find a job and plus we plan on enjoying every bit of Alaska!!! If a year ago when we started dating someone would have told me I would be moving outside of Utah, let alone to Alaska I would've laughed hysterically. But it's coming up fast and we both have never been so excited to move and take this journey while we are still young and child free :) I already have it planned to fly home to visit family as much as possible. My brother is getting ready to leave for his mission and then My little sister Amanda is expecting her first and I couldn't be more excited for her, as well Jeff's Brother and his wife expecting their first. So I plan on coming back for those as well as for Jeff and I to get sealed in September and then for thanksgiving and christmas. My parents plan on coming to visit as well as many other family members. So guess I better get use to flying alot :) I'm not worried about missing out on anything, so hopefully we have plenty saved for my flights home, ha ha!!

Valentines just passed and it was such a great day. I had just pulled into town that Sunday afternoon to a very unexpected surprise that started in the garage and lead up our stairs into the living room. Jeff spend all night Saturday decorating our house in red and pink ribbon and many balloons. I've also had a slight obsession to the Bachelor and he left me a cute card with a note and a rose.... oh he just is too good to me. Plus he bought me a new video camera for our many adventures together.

We then enjoyed the rest of the evening with family and my adorable neices and nephew playing Wi. Jeff and I soak up all our time off together and love every chance we get to enjoy life, I'm so glad I have such an amazing husband who always makes me smile and is always thinking of me. I love you babe!!!
