The weather HAD been incredible lately so Jeff and I couldn't wait to get the trailer out of storage and go camping. We have some new friends Chris and Colleen who moved up in January so they haven't had the opportunity to experience "Alaska" yet. Sadly the weather outlook wasn't very good... rain, rain rain... but we took off anyway and headed to Seward. We had a blast and it only sprinkled once and then poured when we were packing up to come home. So we made it 3 days without rain. Although we couldn't escape the wind and cold. But we had a blast and made great memories. They are incredible friends with the most darling little girl Riley. Jeff and I look forward to many more campouts with all our friends and even FAMILY this summer... YEAH!!!!

Jeff's first alaskan toy
First off, as hard as it was for me to bite the bullet and let my husband spend some money I just wanna say how much he deserves it. He has worked SOOOOOO to get to where he is today!!! I love my husband with all my heart and as hard as it was to say, "Yes, you can buy a boat" the smile on his face was like a kid on Christmas morning so it was all worth it. I get super excited to head out into the OCEAN to catch us some halibut, salmon and rock fish. Although I'm very leary of water and becoming stranded, Jeff has spend every free moment he has studying and looking to buy the best equipment to give me comfort so he is safe as well as myself and our future family. I only say that because when we were in Seward recently I saw a husband unload his boat, the wife pull the truck and trailer away and as she was walking back to the water she had a baby bjorn on with a newborn. I don't want life to stop for us when we have kids. I love you baby and I'm excited to take this next adventure as boat owners. :)
(Note: Jeff didn't want me to use this pic cuz the boat needs to be polished and needs a new canvas. But it's the first pic with his new toy so I had to :)
