2 new posts and many pics

For Easter this year, my family was down in St. George visting Jeff and I but we didn't get to celebrate the Burton easter egg hunt, so Jeff and I went up north this last weekend and enjoyed an amazing weekend. Jonny is headed out to Boston before we know it, so for my dad's birthday he went through the temple. What an amazing and beautiful day. It is so crazy how much my little brother has grown up. I was always so stubborn and refused to admit that someday he would be taller than me, well that day has come and gone. I not only look up to him in stature but also as an example of Christlike attributes. Jonny will make an amazing missionary and I can't wait to continue to watch him grow as he serves the Lord.

We celebrated Easter Sunday April 11... your never too old at the Burton House to have an easter egg hunt. Tradition is we color hard boiled eggs and the easter bunny puts a price on each hard boiled egg. We have 14 colored eggs and 90 plastic candy filled eggs... took the easter bunny extra time this year to hide all the eggs (but it never fails that most of the hiding spots are repeats year after year, easter bunny must have alzheimers and no creativity!!!) Jeff got to join the fun this year and we sure had fun.Opening Easter baskets... oh the candy and silly toys!!! Our Easter bunny does well every year

Little KO trying to participate in the fun... he loves sitting on laps lately!! It isn't so fun when your trying to put make-up on though but that's why we love him.

The dogs even helped with finding eggs, but unfortunately no matter how much they beg from Amanda, they couldn't partake in the goodies... thus they decided to take a nap by the door until someone let them outside to go find the other eggs that are still missing (happens every year, bunny hides them so good it usually takes a dog to sniff for them weeks later)!!!

Family and Friends

The last couple weeks have been filled with so much. I sure do love my family and the friends I have made over the years while here in Dixie. Not to long ago I met Allie and I can honestly say we are the best of friends. We have sooo very much in common and think the same and have many of the same interests. Jeff loves when Allie comes over (for Bachelor night or Dancing with the Stars)because she has become such a good friend to me. Recently we went and enjoyed a much needed girls night out and enjoyed the Kellie Pickler concert at Tuachan. It was so much fun and very relaxing and entertaining. We usually do lunch or dinner together, while Jeff is working or at school but this night I left him home and it was just us girls (oh lets not forget the occasional text message about how much he loved and missed me.) I just love him so much and I'm so glad he lets me still enjoy my time away but I love coming home to him.
My Family came down for a much needed break over the Easter and Conference weekend. My Mom and Conner were here for 5 days and it was great to be with them, and just a public thank you to the best mom in the world for cleaning my house, doing my laundry, organizing my closet and cooking dinner. Jonny and my Dad continued down I-15 on a father-son getaway to LA. My mom got Jonny Angels tickets for his birthday so they were able to enjoy sunny Cali for a few days, just the two of them. Jeff and I sure love my family. It was so cute cuz when they were getting ready to leave Jeff turned to me and said, "Your family could stay 3 more weeks and never get on my nerves." It's so cute to see him with my parents and my brothers. And we are so fortunate to have a big enough place to have people over and sleep comfortably. We will always make room for family! These pics are of us hiking Dixie Rock and enjoying our easter sabbath together.

Jeff's niece Halle turned 3 and we all celebrated her birthday. She is the cutest thing ever. She is obsessed with Dorothy on the Wizard of Oz. My sister in law Sheridan and I were talking how funny it is... most little girls love Princesses like Cinderella, Bell, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, but Halle loves Dorothy and Snow White, definately not a typical 3 yr old. So Sheridan being the cute and perfect mom, planned a Dorothy party and got gift baskets for all the little girls with wizard of Oz things. It was so cute and Halle had the best time ever.

Change of Plans

So as most of you know we are moving to Alaska and plans were to take off on the long torturous drive to good ol' cold Anchorage. Well with so much going on the month of April (Jonny going through the Temple, Cabo Vacation and both working extra hours) we both felt that things weren't falling into place like we planned. We bought a new truck but still need to sell my car, Jeff's motorcycle and his business. All this wasn't happening on our time table. I was breaking down in emotions and after many late night talks and lots of prayer we have agreed to wait til August to move. In the mean time, Jeff will finish his schooling here and believe it or not he has already taken a good portion of his Air Traffic Control classes here at Dixie so that saves us a good chunk of change. We both feel so good bout this. Unfortuately I got myself all mentally prepared to make such a change and now I'll have to do it all over again in a few months. But I;m just glad I'll get more time to prepare. I won't have to miss my brothers missionary farewell, and Jeff and I will get to continue to enjoy our mini weekend getaways before we START thinkin bout starting a family. I sure love the time we have together and I'm so thankful for such an amazing husband. Everything he does in life is all for mine and his benefit, but mostly mine. He is the most selfless person who wants me to have everything in the world. He is ALWAYS thinking of my needs and ways to make me happy. So in the end, as bad as I want to just leave now while I'm mentally prepared and just get this whole move behind us and get done with his schooling sooner,I know that the Lord has answered our prayers and this will benefit us the most.
