Much needed update!!!

So my computer has been down for quite some time... and its been frustrating because I've wanted to post so much. I found a website that makes your blog into a book and I made one for last year and Jeff loved it, so with so much ahead of us this year I want to post as much as I can so I can do another book of all our memories.

So we continue to love our dogs sooooo much. KO is such a momma's boy, he follows me everywhere and loves to cuddle, and Chewy is just so "whatever" that he could careless who holds him. I took them running with me for the first time and what a joke that was. Chewy kept up and was loving it, but apparently KO got tired because at one point when I looked back he was on his side and I was dragging him. I couldn't stop laughing. So I ended up finishing my run with KO in my arms... he is the lazy one of the two!!
We gave them their first hair cut, it was desperately needed. Their adult hair was growing in over their baby fuz and they looked so homeless. But I don't know what was worse, their homeless look or their new cut!! Luckily that was a few weeks ago and so its grown back out. They love going for car rides and have started sleeping with us. They are such cuddly puppies still. Jeff and I talk about how much we love them and we will never get just one dog, we will always have two cuz they are so much less maintenance and they can play for hours together.
Our boys before their cuts... oh and they are fasinated with watching the TV and the computer. Here is KO with me and Chewy with Jeff.

After their cuts... poor dogs were pretty ugly but they loved their short hair and now it has grown back in nice and even

The dogs and our drive home from Pleasant Grove...

Jeff is back finishing school before we move to Alaska for his new program. He loves being in school. I'm so proud of him and how well he has done. I can't wait for him to start his Air Traffic Control program cuz I love seeing him studying... I'm just glad its him and not me hitting the books :)

So for the last couple weeks we have both been working like crazy saving as much as we can so when we move we won't be so tight for money before I find a job and plus we plan on enjoying every bit of Alaska!!! If a year ago when we started dating someone would have told me I would be moving outside of Utah, let alone to Alaska I would've laughed hysterically. But it's coming up fast and we both have never been so excited to move and take this journey while we are still young and child free :) I already have it planned to fly home to visit family as much as possible. My brother is getting ready to leave for his mission and then My little sister Amanda is expecting her first and I couldn't be more excited for her, as well Jeff's Brother and his wife expecting their first. So I plan on coming back for those as well as for Jeff and I to get sealed in September and then for thanksgiving and christmas. My parents plan on coming to visit as well as many other family members. So guess I better get use to flying alot :) I'm not worried about missing out on anything, so hopefully we have plenty saved for my flights home, ha ha!!

Valentines just passed and it was such a great day. I had just pulled into town that Sunday afternoon to a very unexpected surprise that started in the garage and lead up our stairs into the living room. Jeff spend all night Saturday decorating our house in red and pink ribbon and many balloons. I've also had a slight obsession to the Bachelor and he left me a cute card with a note and a rose.... oh he just is too good to me. Plus he bought me a new video camera for our many adventures together.

We then enjoyed the rest of the evening with family and my adorable neices and nephew playing Wi. Jeff and I soak up all our time off together and love every chance we get to enjoy life, I'm so glad I have such an amazing husband who always makes me smile and is always thinking of me. I love you babe!!!

Yes... we are moving!!!

So I noticed that most people havent heard our exciting yet drastic plans to move this year. Jeff is starting Air Traffic Control school in May. If your not familiar with what that is like I was when he first told me about it then I'll explain... it is the MOST STRESSFUL job out there (so much that retirement age is 50) and you basically sit in the towers and control the skies (in a nut shell). He is so extremely excited so I feel I need to support him and know that in the end this means I won't have to work and I can enjoy te stay at home mom life :) So here we come.......

..............ANCHORAGE, ALASKA!!!!!

I have many mixed emotions about this. At first it was going to be LA, but my stomach was just sick everytime I thought about working as a nurse out there. I really am super excited to move. It is perfect timing for Jeff and I (KO and Chewy, too). Jeff loves hunting and fishing. We were going to go to Africa this year with his brother for them to go on a 10 day hunt but with this move, that won't be happening. Jeff can't wait to get up there and fish and hunt his moose, bear and whatever else he can!!! Another deal breaker was that Alaska actually pays their residents to live there :)Its going to be very hard to be so far away from family... but we have been into Skyping so much that I see my whole family almost everyday!!! (still havent got Jeff's fam on board with Skype but we will get there) This move is only for 18 months, so in that time frame Jeff and I will experience more than I ever thought I ever would. Now is just the stressful time of figuring out moving plans and whether selling everything and flying up is better than renting a U-haul for $3000 and driving 4 days.

First Christmas and New Years

Jeff and I had an amazing first christmas together. We spent some time with my bro and sis in law here in st. george on christmas eve and then drove up to pleasant grove to be with my fam and 630 christmas day. we quickly opened stockings and santa gifts then took off the tremonton and was there by 9 to open gifts with my in-laws. we spent 2 days with them then headed back to my parents and spent 2 more days there. I was perfect to split our time evenly Not only did my sweet husband spoil me so much and gave me more than I could ever ask for but our parents spoiled us as well. My mom continues to amaze me at what great gifts she finds and I sure enjoyed my first christmas with my in laws. We also had a perfect new years together. I love sharing so many "firsts" with Jeff. 2009 Was an AMAZING year for me. I sure was blessed so much. My life has changed for the best and I can't wait for our adventures to come in 2010.

I love spoiling my little nephew... He is such a sweet very very happy boy!! he sure loves this table we got him... before you know it he will not only know sign language(which my sister is doing so well at teaching him but he will also be able to speak spanish, ha ha ha!!!

First pic together in 2010. Just got home from a wonderful night just Jeff and I... oh and of course our 2 little boys!

We went and bought these sweet looking hoodies for the dogs, I'm also trying to order little boots on line for them... we are trying to get them use to wearing clothes so when it comes to moving, our dogs are ready for the freezing Alaskan Weather!!

Happy Birthday to US!!!

Little blog update, Jeff and I celebrated both our birthdays a few weeks ago. Mine was during Thanksgiving so it was fun to be with all my family and Jeff's is a week after mine so we celebrated his too while we were up north. We had so much fun over thanksgiving and we are so excited and ready for our first christmas together. It has been so fun shopping together for our families and for secret santa and each other.

For Jeff's birthday I got NFR tickets so we went to Vegas overnight. I was able to surprise Jeff with a spiffy room at the Bellagio. It was so amazing, definately a once in a life time opportunity to stay there, but it was so worth it. We also had fun shopping and going to Cowboy Christmas!!!

We have also added a temporary family member to our little family of four... our little niece is getting a kitty for christmas and we have been lucky enough to have it at our house the last 2 weeks. I was nervous the dogs would tear it up but they have all played so well. I'm not a cat person AT ALL but I would love to keep this little one around. She is so easy going and believe it or not, as small as it is, she sure can handle her own against the puppies. We sure do love our dogs too, they have been so much fun. I will never buy just one dog, it has been so easy for us to have two dogs.

Well stay tuned for christmas updates. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

I don't now about the other nights of the NFR but we went on Pearl Harbor day and the spirit of American pride was so strong. Lee Greenwood sang God bless the USA. Lets just say I have never been so spiritually uplifted after that song than I was that night he sang... it was soooo AMAZING!!!

This first pic, I promise Chewy is not eating the cat... they were playing so cute and I was trying to capture the moment but it didn't come out so well. KO has this thing were he loves to lay on anything soft whether it be our pillows or even the cats bed... I think KO really wants to be a cat :)

"Burton Fam" all grown up!!!!

Jeff and I had an amazing thanksgiving vacation. We were able to spend a few days with my fam for the holiday and my birthday and then traveled up to Tremonton for some time with the Harris's. My mom made an amazing Thanksgiving dinner and rented out a fun game room to play rockband, wi, ping pong, and a call of duty challenge. We were also able to get family pics for the first time since 1990, now that all us girls are married and our family is growing I guess my mom wants to capture us now :)!!!!! My wonderful friend Annie Duckworth took our amazing pics, we had way too many to choose from for holiday cards! Despite the freezing temp and jumping in and out of the car between pics and all the shivering going on, I don't think our pics could've turned out any better. The only down fall is I'm kicking myself for not getting family pics with our adorable puppies, OOPS! Next time.

Quick update... and our BOYS!!!!

Sorry for those who care to follow my blog... I lost my camera hunting with Jeff, and what a sad day that was. bless Jeff's heart, he went back the next day and looked on the mountain we were hiking where I'm pretty sure I lost it at and no luck. so I hate updating blogs without pics, so here I am, got myself a new camera and I'm back to taking millions of pictures and since being married I've scrap booked all our memories. I already have two books done and I look at them daily. Anyway, so the latest is we already increased the size of our family!!! Jeff is so good to me, not only did i get my dream car for my wedding but after weeks of searching for my favorite and dream dog we finally found him... but not just one, we had to get 2 and it has been the best decision EVER. they play together all day long while we are gone and Jeff and I have soooo much fun just sitting on the couch a watching them play all day!!! (Chewy is the darker one and KO (aka Knock Out) is the lite colored but very very fluffy one)

So besides raising our two Boys, we have had so much fun being married. We love our house, it is all decorated and so cozy. We love watching tv together and are addicted to NCIS series. Since marriage we are on season 4 of 8. We also go out all the time, we frequently enjoy dinner dates on the nights I don't cook (which surprisingly I cook an awful lot and I have loved learning new meals) and we have been to many movies, Tuachan x3 and even a Jon Schmidt concert... if you haven't heard of him look him up!!! In my mind, he is one of the most talented and humble Pianist I know and I have everyone of his songs on my ipod. Marriage is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Jeff and I get along so good, we are learning everyday to meet eachother's needs and remember that it's the little things that count. I look forward to the holidays with him and our time off of work. Stay tuned for holiday pics, birthday parties and more....
