Lexi Grace Harris has arrived

My newest niece was born Saturday June 26 at 12:34pm weighing 7 lbs 3 oz and 18.5 inches long. We are all so glad she is here. After a long labor and an hour of pushing Nikki and Tipper got to finally meet their first little girl. She is the cutest little thing. She looks just like her dad ( for now) and is just so adorable and precious. I love being an aunt, and yes Nikki holding your little one gets me excited to have one of my own ( someday). Nikki invited me to be in on her labor and what an amazing experience that was to witness this litttle one being born. The emotions filled the room when she arrived and the spirit was so very present. Tipper had a hard time keeping his emotions in and you know by the way he looks at her that he already loves her so much. Both Nikki and Tipper will make incredible parents and I can't wait to watch Lexi grow. We love you Nik, Tip and Lexi

These 4 cuties are Josh and Sheridan's. We love being their aunt and uncle. They sure are so cute and we are so spoiled to see them everyday.

Week with Conner

This last week my brother Conner was able to come down and be with me. We had so much fun and I was sure sad to have him leave. He is the most polite and respectful kid always saying "Yes Mam" and always asking me if there was anything he could do for me. Jeff and I took him to Tuacahn to see Tarzan and he sure loved it. We also went to the skate park at Fiesta Fun and mini golfing. Jeff took him to a movie while I worked and we spent tons of time walking and playing with the puppies. He even went to help Jeff work, but got distract with all the nice cars and we ended up taking tons of pictures. We also spent hours upon hours swimming and just relaxing and playing games all night. He is an amazing brother and I loved having him here.

Most terrifying moment....

So last night I started to feel real crummy. So I was at home sleeping when Jeff came in and wanted to take the dogs to run some errands with him (they love car rides.) At first I told him no because they just went back to bed with me and were tired but then I realized it would probably be best so that I could sleep longer. A few hours go by and around 1:30 pm my phone was ringing. Well I was so groggy I almost didn't answer it thinking it was just ringing in my dreams... Unfortunately it wasn't!!!! I answered and it was Jeff, "Trish I lost Chewy!" what the heck!!! I started screaming and bawling. I asked where he was and he said on the boulevard!!! Ok, this is the busiest street in town and my dog is lost!! I jumped out of bed so fast I almost passed out! I threw on some shoes and bolted down the stairs, all of a sudden realizing Jeff has my car. Only vehicles home were his work truck hooked up to his massive trailer, motorcycle, or un-licensed new tundra chilling in the garage. I scramble for the tundra keys and bolted out the door. After a long ten min of trying to pull out of the garage, hitting and running over things that I could care less about, I finally make it out of our driveway hyperventilating and bawling my eyes out. I head to where Jeff was and asked where he last say him. He said he went to wash my car then came to Checker Auto to get some stuff. He said he was only in the store for 5 min and came out and noticed only one dog in the car. He said the windows were down and at that point I just started yelling for chewy. Jeff ran back to look 2 blocks back where the car wash was. I ran across the street and asked a pet resort place if they have seen a little Pomeranian. They said they would notify animal control. I started running down the boulevard, yes still in my pj's looking homely as ever. I got a few blocks down and went back. Being already sick and crying hysterically my voice was shot, I couldn't even yell his name anymore. I decided to run up into some foot hills and just dropped to my knees praying for the lord to help us find him. I just kept thinking we can't go home without him, and how long do we keep looking, do we get a search team involved, how big of a reward would we pay, what will KO do without his sidekick, etc!!! I came running down the foothills and the lady at the pet resort whistled at me. She said the animal control guy has found him and I just need to go pick him up.... Oh wow!!! Talk about a miracle, just because come to find out he had somehow got out of the car while Jeff was vaccuming at the car wash. How does this happen without Jeff seeing him. So yes, Jeff drove away clean car and all without noticing only one dog was in the car. So not to keep putting blame on Jeff (although this was all his fault) I felt bad I didn't have their tags on and I sure got heck for it from the animal control cops!!!
Well to make the story even worse is when I was on the phone with my mom saying Animal Control had found him, she thought that meant he was dead... so she told everyone in my family he died. So here Jeff and I were getting text messages saying "sorry about Chewy, we will pray for you" and me thinking why will you pray for us when he is ok... yeah it made for a funny afternoon trying to fix my mom's mistake. But we are so glad he is ok, we love our dogs so much. And yes, they now have their dog tags on :)

Weekend in Tremonton

This last weekend all Jeff's siblings and their families were able to make a trip up north for his Grandma Lola's 70th birthday. She had no idea we were coming. In fact Saturday night when we all got into town she wasn't even in town. Her and Grandpa Tip were still on their way home from their cruise to Europe. So after church on Sunday they came over for family dinner and there we all were. She just started crying, it was so cute!!! What a surprise for her, especially since her actual birthdate isn't for another 2 weeks but no one would be able to make it up at that time. We had an amazing dinner thanks to my in-laws and the visiting and hearing the stories from their trip was so fun! Then Jeff put together a little something. He found a whole bunch of fun facts about the 1940's ( the year Lola was born) and it was so interesting to see how much things have changed. For example, a new car back then cost $800 and A house was around $3800. WOW!!! A dozen donuts cost .16 cents and the first McDonalds came out in California. It was fun to laugh! Then we all shared a few moments about memories of grandma. It was just so nice to have us all there and I know it really meant so much to Lola. I really love my in-laws and how much I look forward to spending time with them!!!
This first pic is of my in-laws back yard... i just love how beautiful it is this time of year!!

On another note, Elder Burton is doing sooo well. Crazy to think he has only been gone a week!!! Wow, longest week ever!! So we got his first real letter last Friday and he is doing amazing!!! I can't believe how much he has grown in just a matter of days. He is loving the MTC. He has great companions and the language is coming along. I've set a personal goal to write him every Sunday. I look forward to writing him, it keeps me going throughout the week. So we will see how his first whole week went when we get his letter tomorrow... Oh I can't wait!!!!

Elder Burton enters the MTC

This last weekend has been the longest but most amazing weekend I have ever had!!! Jonny gave his farewell talk on Sunday and did such a phenomenal job. He was the only speaker and he did so good at bringing the spirit to the meeting and making everyone laugh and cry!!! I'm sooo honored to call him my brother. We had soooo many friends and relatives at our house to support him. We are so thankful for all those who helped and traveled to make this day special for him. Tuesday night I was able to watch Jonny get set apart as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Pres. Allred shared a wonderful testimony and gave each of us there an opportunity to share ours with Jonny. He received the most wonderful blessing I have ever heard, he has so much in store for him on his mission. He will bless sooooo many lives because of the many Christlike attributes he has. Then Wednesday morning we sat as a family and finished reading the Book of Mormon (which my family started when Jonny got his call on Feb 23). It invited the spirit into our home and prepared us for taking him to the MTC. All I have to say is I think I will have a pounding headache for at least a week. I'm so excited for him to learn and grow but I never thought it would be so hard. I cry every time I hear a song that reminds me of him, or when I look through the many pics I took over the weekend or when I play with Chewy cuz he loved Chewy so much. It is just a huge adjustment. We have grown so close the last little while and me and Amanda spent so much time with him this last week. Amanda started a blog for him so I look forward to the many posts to come of his letters and pics. He sent us his first email the night he got there and we already sent him letters from DearElder.com so he would've got them the second day he was there. Well I'm just going to post some pics now cuz I just keep crying the more I type.
