Our good buddy Ken graduate from the Salvation Army this last week. We are so proud of him. He asked Jeff to be the one to pin him and we just love that he loves us so much. We met him shortly after we moved up here. He was just baptised around the time we arrived in our ward and he has come such a long way. He truly has embraced the gospel so much and it has been so fun to have him over every sunday for dinners and we occasionally take him out to movies. He is such a kid at heart. In a few weeks, the Elders Quorum and doing and activity in support of Ken and we are all going to do baptisms at the temple, this will be Ken's first temple trip and I know because of his desires it won't be the last.

Missionaries and Ken's Graduation
Jeff and I have really become fond of the missionaries in our ward. Having a brother serving in the mission field makes me see how important they are in God's hands and how much they need the love and support of the ward members. Jeff and I feed the misisonaries about once a week and have gone on multiple discussions with them. Jeff has even gone out tracting with them and loves it. I hope the members in Boston are taking as good care of my brother and his companions as Jeff and I are with the missionaries in the Anchorage Mission. Elder Starkie (from West Jordan) and Elder Simmons (from Idaho) we became very close with. They came to our house to visit prior to Elder Starkie getting transfered. We know we have made friendships with these missionaries to last a lifetime and look forward to them coming back to visit us once there mission is over.

Thank you so much for taking good care of Ken and being there for him. We were so sad that we couldn't be there for his graduation.
